Hotel Don Pepe is located in Poio, across the bridge from Pontevedra. There is a large shopping center and grocery store next to the hotel. Pontevedra’s historic center is a 15-minute walk away.

From the outside, the Don Pepe hotel doesn’t look very attractive, but inside everything is modern and new. The hotel has good Wi-Fi, the staff speaks English, the ladies at the reception are very kind, they checked me in an hour earlier than the rules.

Single room review at Don Pepe Hotel
My room at the Don Pepe Hotel. The interior of the room is quite cozy, combining vintage and modern touches. The room has a large TV and even a speaker was added to it, there is also a minibar with drinks. There was a large wardrobe near the entrance to the bathroom. The bed had a remote control, but I didn’t use it. There is no air conditioning in the room.
The floral blanket and lace bedding, along with that vintage wardrobe, made me feel like I was visiting my grandmother.
In the bathroom, a large number of different towels with embroidered hotel logos, as well as a bathrobe and slippers, were waiting for me. The plumbing was all new. The cosmetics included shampoo, shower gel, and soap. In addition to a hairdryer, there were even hair tongs.
The slippers are not ordinary disposable, but warm and fluffy.
A price list for branded souvenirs from the Don Pepe hotel, so you could take slippers with you for 18 euros.
The door to the room is locked with a key – no codes or cards.
My room window overlooked the roof of a neighboring building, which was joined by another building with access to the roof. So I was afraid to leave the window open at night.
Breakfast at Hotel Don Pepe
The breakfast at the Don Pepe Hotel is excellent and costs 10 euros. They offer many types of cheese, sausages, meats for breakfast. Iced coffee, various sweets and pastries, orange juice, toast, fruit. I especially liked the apple pie.
Overall, despite its unassuming appearance and distance from the center of Pontevedra, I really liked the Hotel Don Pepe. It offers cozy, modern rooms and excellent breakfasts.
